The Toys Hill card, once again only a few cosmetic changes to the
building that's all. Time seems to stand still in this part of Kent,
for the card was posted in Sevenoaks to a Mrs Wightman c/o Mrs
Roberts, Llangollen in Wales on14th August 1923. |

The High Street card whilst postally
used has not captured the postmark but is numbered #38 but from my
estimation early 20s. In fact Google's street view of 90 years later
shows so very little change it is amazing. The biggest change seems
to be the War Memorial shield was lengthen downwards to include the
Second World War names.
Also the dwarf wall and cast iron railings have now been replaced by
fencing. What a lovely historical document ! |
